Festivals of Fun - Celebrating Charleston's Culture

Charleston is full of culture, and we celebrate just about anything! Here are a few events that you'll want to know about. Soooo, mark your calendar for the following events!

August 23rd - Festival of Beers at the Joe Riley Stadium. Stroll through and taste over 100 craft brews while sampling some divine dishes from the food trucks that will be available at the ball park from 6-9pm.

August 24th - The Reggae Jerk and Wine Festival will be held at Magnolia Plantation from 12-6. Spend the day learning about Jamaica Jerk tradition, eating great food, and participating in a pepper eating contest! Great reggae bands will hit the stage throughout the day and include The Dubplates, Carifest Dancers, Dream Merchants and more.

August 30th - What better place to celebrate Charleston's delicious food culture but at Shrimp and Grits Festival? The event will be held at the Bus Shed from 7-10pm. Chefs from many prominent restaurants will compete for the title of Best Shrimp and Grits in Charleston.
