Writing today for Apartments.com about the Gullah Tour we took yesterday in downtown Charleston, it has really occurred to me how much of our culture has been defined by what has taken place in the area. Taking in also our dinner at the Hominy Grill, it's hard to escape the influence of the Gullah culture - on food, iron work, sweetgrass baskets, and so much more in Charleston. I, for one, am grateful. And humbled...
